Air Fryer Sweet Plantains or Maduros are an easy and healthy way to make this classic Latin side dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium extra ripe plantains, the skin should be black

Directions

  1. Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil.
  2. Cut the ends off the plantain then using a sharp pairing knife, cut a slit along the length to peel.
  3. Remove the skin carefully and transfer to the air fryer basket.
  4. Spray with more oil on top and air fryer 370F about 8 minutes on each side, until tender.
  5. Then slice them and enjoy.
